SEPTEMBER PRAYER POINTS FOR PROMISE

women walking

September Prophetic Insight:

Every six months I ask The Lord for prophetic insight concerning the coming months. Sometimes He gives a single word, other times a sentence or two for us here at Arise Daughters to focus on. For the month of September, our word from The Lord is "Promise".

What is a Promise?

A promise is a binding declaration of something to be done or given for another's benefit; as the promise of a grant of land. A promise may be absolute or conditional;

How to access the promises of God:

Many want to know how to access the promises of God and some may think that it is only by prayer and fasting, but I am here to give you deeper insight. A promise is a binding declaration- meaning it cannot be taken back (think of this in court terms). Promises are often given by God for your benefit but for His Glory. Read that one more time!

According to our KJV dictionary definition, promises may be absolute OR conditional. This means as God's children we must sit with Him and know His plan and thoughts towards us concerning each promise given. Since we serve the one who IS a promise keeper, we must be intentional about learning how He delivers His promises.

Think of all of the times God made a promise in the bible....many of them were conditional. Let's consider...Abraham and Issac, Samson, The birth of John the Baptist, The promise land.... all of these promises had conditions.

Reflect:

Take a few minutes to reflect on the promises that The Lord has made unto you. Ask Him the conditions for each promise and write them down. Next, pray that He would grant you grace if you have not upheld your commitment and condion for His promise to come to pass. Remember, God's promises are for His Glory...meaning it is His Will. Should you disregard the promise because of fear of commitment, you forsake His Will and that my sister is rebellion. (ouch)

Verses for Prayer Points:

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26:3

Oh Lord no matter what I see in the natural, I will keep my mind steadfast on you. I trust you Lord and I thank you for keeping me in perfect peace.

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

Thank you Lord for never leaving me, thank you Lord that as I wait for your promises I can be encouraged that you are faithful. I will not be afriad because you go before me.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Psalms 32:8

Teach me Lord to do your will, I repent for the times that I have forsaken your commands to trust in the works of my own hands. I submit to your counsel and commit to listening to your words.

The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

Psalms 37:23-24

Lord, I delight in you and I praise you for making my steps firm. Please help me when I stumble to not fall. Thank you for upholding me with your hand.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Father I ask for grace, grace for every area that I am weak. I believe in your promise for my life and though I feel weak I know in you I am strong.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

Thank you Lord that you know every plan and every promise. Forgive me Lord for thinking that I know what is best. Please redirect my future and so that each plan you have for me will prosper.

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Only you Lord establish and guard me, you are faithful and I trust you. I declare that because my God is faithful I will be kept from the evil one.

Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God. What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written,

“That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”

Romans 3:1–4

I repent for the lies that I have believed concerning myself. Forgive me Lord for believing lies and insecurities rather than your word. Forgive me Lord for not seeing you as faithful. I know my feelings can lie but you never do. Help me to not take pride in self righteousness and what I can do for myself. Teach me to trust in you because you ARE faithful.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

Only you Lord remain the same, yesterday, today and forever more. Thank you that each promise is yes and amen. I praise you for your faithfulness.

In Jesus Name, Amen

Remember:

As you pray it is best to bring a notebook so that you can write what God is saying. He may correct you, give you a word, remind you of scripture or even show you a vision. It is irresponsible to pray and walk away because prayer is communication. You cannot communicate if the conversation is one way. Honor the Lord with your time by giving it back to Him and being attentive.

xoxo, C. Washington
